Kasie Scott
Kasie has always believed in living a life of service and helping others succeed. Her 13-year career in Hospitality and 28 years in Information Technology reflect this commitment. In Hospitality, Kasie's journey evolved from fine dining service and membership sales to opening and managing private clubs, event spaces, and restaurants. Her focus was on creating inviting environments and consistently delivering exceptional service and social events that bring people together.
Recently retired from her long IT career primarily leading and executing post-merger integration and large-scale Enterprise 500 business process and system transformations, as a certified project and organizational change management expert, Kasie's expertise was highly sought after, and her innovative and collaborative approach ensured repeated program execution.
The Pub @ EAV is the realization of a thirty-year dream. It started when Kasie moved to East Atlanta during the pandemic and the Elder Tree became her EAV late-afternoon hangout. After consulting with the then current owners on how to help the late-night sports bar, the opportunity to transform, renovate, and deliver to the EAV community a pub, where all are welcome from open to close, arose.
Kasie lives in East Atlanta, with her dog Rex.
Mike Lasage
Mike LaSage's culinary journey began in Central Florida, where he first picked up a spatula to support his dreams of becoming a rock star. As a young adult, he balanced his love for music with honing his kitchen skills, spending years on the road before ultimately deciding to trade his guitar for a chef's coat. This pivotal decision launched a new chapter, one that would allow him to showcase his creativity and passion for bringing people together through food.
Mike's love for cooking and his innovative spirit led him to co-own the beloved P'cheen International Bistro and Pub in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward. It was here that his Southern roots and love for barbecue truly shined with the creation of "Mike's Monday Night Bone Lick BBQ," which quickly earned a loyal following and critical acclaim. His success as a pitmaster continued, and in 2012, he opened Bone Lick BBQ on Atlanta's Westside. Known for its award-winning barbecue and eclectic Bar-B-Cade concept, Bone Lick BBQ soon expanded to a second location on historic Edgewood Avenue. Mike also co-owned The Edgewood Speakeasy and The Music Room, solidifying his place in Atlanta's food and nightlife scene until the pandemic forced them to close.
With over 30 years of experience in the service industry, Mike has worn many hats—owner, executive chef, managing partner, and operator of restaurants, bars, and a nightclub. Even during the challenges of the COVID pandemic, he didn't miss a beat, creating over 40 unique chef-driven pop-ups and dining experiences. A favorite television personality and culinary expert, Mike has appeared on numerous cooking and travel shows and in magazines, newspapers and more, sharing his passion for food with a wider audience.
Now, in 2024, Mike is back at the helm of the kitchen with his latest project, The Pub @ EAV. Transforming what was once The Elder Tree Public House, Mike has turned it into a community pub with a globally inspired menu, showcasing his dedication, creativity, and love for creating spaces where people can come together over great food.
